APS-5 is an ultrasensitive chemiluminescent substrate for Alkaline Phosphatase (AP) enzyme-induced reactions. Upon catalysis by AP, it rapidly emits photons, reaching a plateau phase within seconds. Within a specific range of AP enzyme concentration, the emitted photon count is directly proportional to the enzyme concentration in solution.

APS-5 is an enzyme-induced chemiluminescent substrate utilizing Alkaline Phosphatase (AP) as the label. Catalyzed by AP, APS-5 rapidly releases photons, achieving a signal plateau within seconds. The emitted light intensity is proportional to the AP enzyme concentration within a defined range, making it ideal for chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) systems employing AP as the label.
