Durastab™ BCIP/NBT substrates are one-component alkaline phosphatase (AP) substrates that precipitate as an intense blue-purple product on membranes and tissue sections. AP dephosphorylates BCIP, which then couples with NBT — producing a permanent, scanner-detectable signal suited to Western blot, dot blot and immunohistochemistry. The series covers four profiles: BCIB as the standard formulation, BCPE with enhanced purple intensity, BCIS (Plus) for higher sensitivity, and BCFA (Fast) for shorter development times. All are supplied ready to use and documented with scanner or camera.
