DuraSure™ 5% Casein is a chemically modified, high-purity casein product commonly used as a blocking agent in immunoassay systems. Compared to BSA, gelatin, or skimmed milk powder, casein is generally more effective in reducing non-specific background signals. This product can be applied in chemiluminescence, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), western blotting, lateral flow assays, and other detection methods.

DuraSure™ 5% Casein is a chemically modified, high-purity casein product commonly used as a blocking agent in immunoassay systems. Compared to BSA, gelatin, or skimmed milk powder, casein is generally more effective in reducing non-specific background signals. This product can be applied in chemiluminescence, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), western blotting, lateral flow assays, and other detection methods. It can be used to block the surfaces of microspheres, polystyrene microplates, nitrocellulose membranes, or other solid supports, or formulated into a liquid blocking solution to achieve a higher signal-to-noise ratio and enhance the sensitivity of immunoassays.

Western blot / ELISA/ Chemiluminescence/ Microarray
Instruction:
1. This product is supplied at 5% (w/v). It may be diluted with TBS (20 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.2) before use.
For ELISA or Western blot blocking: a working concentration of 0.25–2.5% (w/v) is recommended.
If the blocked surface is to be dried directly, please use DuraBlock™ Casein Blocking Solution.
2. For microsphere blocking, a final concentration of 0.2–1% (w/v) in the blocking system is recommended.
3. For the preparation of dilution buffers, a concentration of 0.1–0.5% (w/v) is suggested.
